The bathroom light flicks off,
Your naked silhouette zips across the room,
Your only pieces of clothing
don't make a sound on the hardwood floor.
You jump back in bed,
Shivering from your brief trip,
But the tropical cocoon,
Made from comforter and exhausted us,
Quickly ends the shivering;
You in your socks, me barefoot.
I thought you silly, sleeping in socks--
Now I can't sleep without.

A View From The Hot Tub
Swift clouds, lit by the city,
Engulf descending planes.
Thousands of needles
Leave their Evergreen homes.
Engulf descending planes.
Thousands of needles
Leave their Evergreen homes.
